The Lost World

The lost world was the first film in history to utilize special effects so extensively for the creation of prehistoric creatures of “The Lost World”.

Willis O’Brian pioneered stop motion techniques to use claymation to create the animated prehistoric creatures for “The Lost World”.

 

“The Lost world” was the first movie to combine stop-motion model animation with live actors. Eight years after the making of “The Lost World”, Willis O’Brian worked on the creation of the movie King Kong. Techniques pioneered by Willis O’Brian are still in use today.
